Community Foundation grant helps older adults afford dental care
The Community Foundation of Northern Colorado awarded a $10,000 grant to the Health District to address the unique barriers that older adults living on a low income in Fort Collins face when trying to access dental care.
The Health District’s Family Dental Clinic is a critical lifeline for older adults in our community who lack insurance and have no other option to remedy painful and serious oral health problems. However, the needs of some older adults can be quite costly. This funding will help older adults finally receive affordable dental care.
